The Haft Feder 128 by Haft Arms is a professional HEMA feder designed to be a tournament workhorse and an excellent training companion. This shorter version was developed in response to fencer demand and draws inspiration from the blade-to-hilt proportions found in historical swords – a ratio of approximately 1:3.5 provides a handle long enough for comfortable use with modern HEMA gloves while retaining the advantages of a longer blade.

The 99 cm blade with a spatulated tip and 13 kg (±0.5 kg) flex at 20 cm compression ensures exceptional stability in binds, superior reach, and reliable safety for rigorous training and competitive use. Crossguard flex reaches 16 kg at 25 cm compression.

With a POB at just 6.5 cm from the crossguard and a precisely calibrated 29.5 cm hilt, this feder delivers excellent speed and control. The shorter handle allows faster point control due to the principles of leverage – your hands travel a shorter distance while the sword's point moves through a much larger arc. Ideal for advanced techniques such as zwerchhau and precise cuts.

At just 1430 g (±20 g), this feder is optimised for agility and speed without sacrificing balance or durability.

The 29 cm crossguard provides superior protection, compliant with most tournament rulesets. Spherical finials on the crossguard add extra safety during binds and thrusts while bringing a clean historical aesthetic.

The aesthetic proportions of the sword were optimised using Peter Johnsson's sword design methodology, resulting in a visually balanced and historically inspired appearance.
