Foil pistol grip
The most common type of grip, recommended for beginners. Pistol grips are also sometimes called Belgian grips or tree grips. All the names refer to pistol grips. Some grips, in addition to the right-handed and left-handed versions, also come in several sizes to accommodate different hand sizes.
For beginners with a pistol grip, we recommend the 5M Visconti or the Allstar Classic.
For Allstar, grip sizes range from 0 to 3, and for 5M, from S to XL - these sizes are purely indicative, with different sizes fitting different hands accordingly. However, based on our experience, the aforementioned sizes should fit most fencers. You can check the size of the glove in the size charts.
sizes 0 and S are recommended for young fencers with glove sizes up to 5.5
sizes 1 and M are ideal for glove sizes 6-7.5
sizes 2 and L fits glove sizes 7.5-9
sizes 3 and XL is for fencers with a glove size over 9
