Épée blades Folo

A large selection of épée blades, bothwired and bare. The difference between a wired and bare blade is as follows.

A wired blade is ready for assembly of the electric épée. In other words, the blade is not just the metal alloy, but it is already equipped with a complete épée point, including insulation and épée wiring, and including cable tubing for easy insertion into the épée socket.

A bare blade is only a metal blade, which is suitable for non-electric training weapons. It goes without saying that almost all bare blades can be wired. This involves fitting the bare blade with everything necessary and gluing the wiring into the groove of the blade. Please take into account that the glue requires time to dry properly, so the blade will only be ready one day after wiring.

The length of the blade is important for different age categories.

Children's blades size 0 - children up to Younger Pupils inclusive

Children's blades size 2 - children in the category Younger Pupils (only these blades can be used for this category)

Adult blades size 5 (standard) - from category Pupils upwards

For children in the category Younger Pupils, we recommend children's blades (size 0), and for Pupils upwards, adult blades.

Everyone can choose the right blade size for them from the large range, be they a beginner, hobby fencer, or professional representative of a country.

For participants in tournaments organised by the International Fencing Federation (FIE) - ECC cadet circuit, junior world cups, adult grand prix and world cups, an FIE certified blade - a so-called maraging blade - is required equipment.
