An integral part of the fencing equipment for épéeist, foilists and sabre fencers is a plastron, which is worn under the main jacket and is a mandatory secondary protective element of a fencer's uniform. For all tournaments of the Czech Fencing Union, as well as for all international tournaments, including FIE tournaments, it is mandatory to wear a plastron with a resistance of 800N certified by the International Fencing Federation (FIE).
All the plastrons we offer fulfil the FIE requirement and are 800N certified. The difference between plastrons is the type of material used, which also explains the weight difference between them. We recommend plastrons for half the body, which gives more freedom of movement and adapts partially to the growth of the fencer.
